Advanced processes and continuous improvement

Through continuous technology upgrades and operator training, we have greatly improved manufacturing quality and component life cycle behavior, resulting in increased equipment longevity for our customers. Continuous effort is dedicated to product development and plant facilities’ improvement to guarantee defect free manufacturing. All consumables are supplied by highly qualified manufacturers and are stored in a state-of-the-art facility equipped with ovens to maintain flux and electrodes in a dry environment.

Pre and Post Weld Heat Treatment

Roben considers the benefits of weld pre and post heat treatment to reduce thermal stresses, and materials microstructure in the weld and (HAZ) heat affected zone in those materials which are mandated by code requirements or whereby the process conditions will have an effect on the materials operational benefit. Conservative and experienced procedures and special devices are used to control and reduce precipitation or hydrogen content during welding. For PWHT, boundary stresses of varying thicknesses can be analyzed to determine the best temperature gradients to reduce these stresses.

Weld Technology

Welding is performed using SMAW, FCAW, GTAW, and SAW techniques. Latest generation waveform technology welding machines are available for welding and overlay of specialty alloys and heavy weldments. With these waveform techniques, Roben is capable of achieving outstanding metallurgical results and weld heat input.
